Lightning Auto Recovery

Warning!!! **TAKE PICS BEFORE AND AFTER!!! Damaged rear bumper…because it was backed 3 inches into a chain link fence, only once the car was released and was able to pull forward to inspect damage, noticed it had been backed not only into the fence but had been backed over a large rock which took a large chunk of my bumper out…of course they’re denying all responsibility

This place is a bunch of thieves. My car was brought there for a short period of time. I went to pick up my personal belongings about 10 hours after the car was picked up and brought to this place, Lightning Auto Recovery…and 75% of my personal belongings were missing from my car.

When I asked them to please return my belongings they told me that they would go back behind the walls of their office and “review the photos that they took upon receipt of my car” – meanwhile just 15 minutes before I showed up I was told that they COULD NOT access the inside of vehicle and take inventory UNTIL I brought them my key – SO they couldn’t get my stuff out or take inventory until they had my key – SO MY QUESTION IS … how do they have photos of my property if they couldn’t access my car until I brought them the key? I asked them this same question and they had NO ANSWER. They said they could not show me the photos of my property either – which if you ask me is because they didn’t have photos of what was in my car and they stole it all.

I had just done some Christmas shopping and when my car was taken from in front of my house. I had over $1000 worth of brand new – in the package gifts.

They told my finance company that they gave me and had me sign an inventory list of what was in the vehicle, which NEVER HAPPENED. I never saw any inventory or photos, nor did I sign ANYTHING approving any inventory of what was in the car. So they are outright liars and thieves., because non of this exists and they had no inventory of photos.

If you have the opportunity to not deal with this company, DON’T. Unfortunately I, and most people will not have the opportunity to choose the company – and for those of you who are stuck dealing with this company as I was – you will more than likely be robbed so you have been warned.

Lighting auto recovery Reposed a vechile and upon recovery of the vechile found out that my 6 year old daughters little pinky bank containing her savings in the form of small bills and pennies was emptied out. Great Job! What an honorable company!!! Hope those few dollars and pennies got you real far chumps. Shady business

I had a similar thing happen to me. Went to get medicine out of vehicle and was returned empty pill bottles. One was a pain medicine for an injury I just had. I had taken 2 of the 60 pills…guess they sold them on the street! I take responsibility for the fact that my auto was repo’d but it does NOT give them the right to take my things. I really wish there was recourse but it is my word against theirs! Sad – they will get their day!

This towing company deals specifically with repossession of vehicles in South Fl . They have absolutely no a.c or fans , no seating and would not permit me to use their restroom (I’m pregnant). I had to walk several blocks in an industrial area to find a restroom , consume air conditioning , as well as use an A.T.M for their “storage fee” that they only accept in cash . By the time I got back , I started to develope an heat rash . I normally don’t post reviews but these conditions made me very concerned . Also they said it would take about 3 hours after payment for release was made for them to process our papers . I spoke with a rep whome said it should never take more than 30 minutes. You have been warned . 🙁
