Dear Dr. Segurola, on behalf of my family and myself, we would love to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and thank God for giving us the opportunity to meet you, and have you performing such a complicated surgery on my dad. Today is the second day after surgery and my dad has been seating since yesterday, eating, speaking, and all you hear him saying is what a great doctor you are and how blessed and lucky he is.
We are so thankful for all the specialists and personnel that works on your team, that treated us so kindly ever since we arrived to Jackson Memorial – Emergency. They gave us all the information we needed and prepared my dad so well for the surgery. We are amazed by how in the middle of such a nightmare we were living, you and your team managed to make us feel safe and optimistic. Thanks so much!!
May God always bless you!!

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Dr. Segurola and his team. From our very first appointment, Dr. Segurola was upfront and honest about exactly what my fiancé’s surgery would look like as well as the risks and the benefits. He was confident in his and his team’s ability, but not overconfident or boastful which can sometimes be the case for such fantastic and renowned surgeons. He made us feel as though no question we had was too small and spent a significant amount of time with us. After the surgery, he came by several times in the hospital to check on my fiancé, and when there was a complication post-operation, he helped us find the best next step for treatment. His team (both in the office and hospital) are excellent. They are warm and friendly and worked hard for us and our needs. For example, we are from out of town (about 6 hours away) and his staff helped schedule us for days and times when we were in the city. His ARNP, Luce, made us feel so well taken care of in the hospital and she stopped by our room in the ICU at least three times a day to give us updates. I really can’t speak more highly of Dr. Segurola and if you find yourself (or a family member) needing surgery, I would encourage you to choose him and his team!

My son had surgery with Dr. Segurola at Jackson Memorial Hospital and our experience was nothing but 100% positive. First of all, Dr. Segurola is a highly experienced surgeon. He explained the nature of the procedure to us in great detail and answered all of our questions to us patiently and in a way that we could fully understand. Yes, his office is extremely busy because the doctor is constantly in surgery and then following up with his patients but when he is with you, you have his full attention. I do not understand people that write reviews and complain because they have to sometimes wait to see their doctor. Sure, if it is a constant and consistent problem, that is one thing but don’t you want a doctor that takes his time with patients an follows up quickly on emergencies first?
Additionally, Dr. Segurola is also extremely contentious to make sure to bring in other physicians from other specialties , if needed, to make sure there is a proper coordination of care. In my case, even though my son had already gone through a full cardiac workup, the doctor wanted additional testing done by a doctor he trusted before any surgery was performed. This gave me great confidence that we chose the right surgeon for the job.
I would also like to recognize the doctors amazing staff. His ARNP, Luce, is a true asset to the doctors’ practice. She is by his side in the hospital and took excellent care of my son all with an extremely upbeat personality. Additionally, Dr. Segurola’s assistant, Iraida and the office manager, Ana, have been attentive, kind, and compassionate from day one.
This is a fantastic team and although I hope i never have to use their services again, I would ONLY choose to use them if I did have that need.

The staff are the worst the lady name Jessica has always a bad mood with the patients and they set up an appointment at 2 you get there at 130 they don’t call you until 215 to send you to a room for another hour. Most of the patients are senior people and they have to wait all this time and they don’t even see the doctor in person, he’s always busy and he never can check out his own patient after a surgery. He’s have the greatest knowledge about what he’s doing but him at his staff need to be more concern about their patients.
