I worked with OCG in 2012, as a newer agency owner at the time. They used numbers from talent that were actually 1099 contractors and payroll contractors through an outside payroll source (we only collect an agency fee from them) and added that cost to my overall payroll, meaning, as a single person business owner at the time (we have a bigger team now), I paid more in insurance, then I did last year with a team of 7 employees.At the time I was working from home, no office, no employees. When I tried to explain this to Oscar Cartagena and Osuni Benitez, this was threatened to be pushed into collections. I have since then been with the same insurance agent, who handled both of our offices and took the time to get to know our business in order to set us up for proper insurance. Why would I bring this up so many years later? I thought about this often after settling with the insurance company and how different this should have been and could have been handled. There was no effort made at all, to understand our business and business needs.
