I don’t think there even a real insurance company. Total scam.

I had a good policy with this Company for a year. No Claims, no problems. Then came renewal. I was down scaling my business which happen to be a motor vehicle dealership. I used to sell cars, boats, rv’s, and Motorcycles. Prior to my renewal I told my agent to remove two drivers and any coverage’s for anything other than cars. Oddly the rates he came back with were about the same. I didn’t think too much of it because rates went up with other insurances and I pretty much just overlooked what should have been a red flag.

Then came the letter that my policy was being canceled due to “Substantial Change in Risk”. Obviously removing two drivers and 3 out of the 4 vehicle categories from day to day operations shouldn’t have raised my risk so I asked my agent (Who works as a go between). I was told that it was due to selling items other than cars. But wait, didn’t I explicitly request to have those liabilities removed? “Well yes Sir but they did an insepction and found these items”. They did? When? “Last Year”. Last Year???? Well when any insurance company renews any policy they always at least ask if any changes have occurred, thats common sense. Well, I made significant changes that apparently were not made. Simple fix right? Just tell them that changes to my business were not recorded and they are free to come to my location and verify anything they wish. Not so fast!

I was getting nowhere with my agent so I called this company directly. Got a return email from someone full of anger who told me I was not allowed to contact them directly. So apparently if I feel they dont have accurate information, information I had in writing given to my agent before renewal, they dont want to hear it?

Very very odd. I sent 3 emails, 1 certified letter, and 5 written letters to this company asking only for an explanation of why my policy was cancelled for information that was not accurate. Information they could at anytime have verified. No threats of lawsuits. No demands for extra money back. Just a simple conversation. NOTHING. Not a peep! I understand when people call or write and are belligerent and vulgar but its pretty sad when a customer that wants to be very very reasonable and can’t even be acknowledged.

Crooks and liars. Am a policyholder. They’ve been stealing from me for a while. Had to file a complaint with Insurance commissioner.
