La Carreta

I live in Tampa, Florida. To tell you that I will get in my car and drive about 4 hours just get this food HAS to tell you something. The rice is SOO good & the chicken is so juicy and delicious. The staff is okay depending on who you get. I’ve done many times and always get someone different. The establishment itself is nice for its size.

This review is for my experience with picking up food, I have not eaten at this location for many years.

I’ve been to this Carreta several Sundays in a row to pick up food. My experience overall has been very pleasant. The staff has had the food packed and ready upon my arrival. Once I get to my father-in-law’s house with the food, it has been consistently hot and delicious.

Upon our last visit, I ordered the Camarones Enchilados and the sauce was exceptional. Their Ham Croquetas are excellent.

I bought 2 plates on the 13th. One was good and the other plate had a hair on it. I contacted the restaurant and explained the situation, and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. The reason was the manager was no where to be found. They took my phone # and said they were going to call back. Today I’d the 17th and still have not received a call back. This is bad service. I advised the lady on the phone that I had the plate if she wanted me to take it back and she offer to transfer me to a manager. My office will no longer order from you guys again. Thanks for not caring.

Staff was very nice, all areas looked very clean but I was one of the first ones in. Service was fast and the food was great. This is a very busy location so the parking lot gets full kind of fast but since it’s at International mall you have plenty of space. The price is moderate but for one person you could end up spending $10 and up for breakfast and $15 and up for lunch . This one is very nice compared to the other 2 they have.

A very nice Cuban restaurant. It’s very crowded so parking is a bit of an issue. The inside is really nice, it’s like inside a rustic Spanish restaurant. The servers are very nice and always smiling. We love Cuban food so we loved it so much. Very memorable dining experience.
