Westland Hialeah Senior High School

This school is not that bad but it does have its bad things. The lunch is often times bad, we recieve lots of vegetables(which most students do NOT eat), and sometimes juice is not available to drink. The “Band” is not actually a band. Its a class full of students who do NOT want nor need the class. The “Band Director” does NOT teach at all. This is my second year in “Band” and I dont know anything related to playing an instrument other than putting it together and taking it apart. I personally asked the “Band Director”(Curtis H. Edwards) if he can take me out of his class and he simply said I’ll try but its hard. I’ve done 2 schedule change requests to get out of “Band” and nothing, to this day I am still in “Band” receiving C’s and lowering my GPA, but we have to be there or else we will get punished for skipping, etc. “Band Director” used to try to force us to go to concerts which most students didn’t attend. If you told him you would not be able to go, he would threaten you that he will fail you if you did not attend. The school is alright but AVOID THE BAND CLASS AT ALL COSTS.

i’m a freshman at this school and just by starting this new year sucks. we have to wait these big ass lunch lines for lunch and once were going to get food, there is no good food at all, while the rest of the people sitting down have good food. they honestly don’t make enough food. the teachers also don’t really care about our education. for example if we ask them how we can improve our grade they barely even help you out. and also the staff isn’t even that friendly. i swear half of the people who work at this school is just there for the paycheck.

I am still missing this school even thought I left… I am forever in debt with you guys and very soon I will go visit you guys back. All the teachers are incredible, like any other school we have some problems but as long as you do whats right you will not get in trouble like most hypocrites that have written comments. I truly which well to the principal and staff. I was in the school in 9th grade until I left at almost the end of 10th grade. I also left the girl I love behind. I am a Wildcat still and that will never change.

Teachers are really interested in their student’s improvement, I will be forever thankful with the Principal, the Counselor and all my son’s teachers.

There are a lot of teachers that don’t listen to you and treat you very badly, students are doing work and they just shout at them, treat students badly and call parents for no reason. A math teacher has treated my friend badly and its unacceptable because my friend is trying her best to learn in that class and that teacher keeps on picking up on her.

Plus the lunch is really bad.
