This was the biggest disappointment of my wedding.

They started out amazing- extremely responsive to emails and questions.
The tasting was amazing- there was not one thing I tried that I did not like. I don’t really enjoy eating meat , but they made these beef empanadas that were amazing. Despite being pricey, we decided to go with them because the food seemed exquisite.

The issues arose during the wedding.

1) They were supposed to have 7 bartenders, but only two were present. Our guests had to wait in extremely long lines just to get one drink- it took one guest over 20 minutes to get a drink. Some got smart and would order two drinks by the time they got up there because they didn’t want to have to wait in a long line again. While my father was in the bathroom, he overheard employees of Aaron’s catering saying that 5 bartenders had called out and they had not replaced them.

2) We spent $13,000 on alcohol for 200 adult guests. Halfway through the reception, they began running out of alcohol. They had to go and send people out during the reception to get more, and by the time they got back, things were starting to wrap up. They did not prepare well at all. On a minor note, the champagne that was used during the toasts was awful.

3) Not only did they run out of alcohol, they began to run out of many of the food dishes. For instance, they only had two trays of the ribs and that was it. We had also set up a food station just for kids, but then they ran out of that food to (which may have been due to them running out of the adult food).

4) When they didn’t run out of a dish and I had a chance to try it, the food did not taste anything like it had at the tasting. For instance, the beef empanada which was amazing during the tasting, was so dry it could barely be swallowed.

5) One minor thing- At the end of the night the 2 bartenders put out a tip jar, even though this was an open bar wedding and we were tipping them at the end of the night.
