I called and emailed them about a dog multiple times and nobody answered or got back to me. I waited in line for two hours on Monday to see the dog because he wasn’t yet available for adoption and talked to several staff members about the specific dog. He became available today so I went two hours early to be sure I was the one to take him one. Upon going inside, someone told me he was given to the person who turned him in as a stray. I don’t understand why nobody would tell me this before hand when I was explicitly asking!!!!!!! It would have saved me a lot of sadness and time!!!!!! Additionally, two different staff members hit on me, asking for my number and to “hang out”. Very unprofessional, maybe if they had been focused on their job and giving me correct information I would not be in this situation. Never going back here or recommending anybody adopt from here.

Horrible!!!!! We found a stray cat on the turnpike and we brought her here only to be told they won’t take her! They told us to take her back where we found her?! So you want me to take a cat back to the middle of the turnpike??? What kind of an animal shelter tells this to the public??? What’s the purpose of the surrender center??? What exactly can you bring? We came to Broward County Animal shelter instead, where they were NICE, and they took the cat and for free. No nonsense.

Cages were very clean and spacious. They only had large dogs and most cages were empty. No puppies or small breeds. Place was clean and they had a good process in place to protect staff and visitors.

I went today to see if I could adopt a kitten and while my mom and I were waiting a couple came in with a kitten in a blanket. They found him on the street and came to drop the kitten off so someone else could adopt him because they couldn’t take him back home. The people working here told them they won’t take the kitten and didn’t give any reasons why. So when they asked what to do, they told them to send him back to the streets. This brought me so much sadness and confusion as to why they wouldn’t take this kitten. The couple told us that a person came by with another kitten that they found and the people working there told that person “no” as well. And that kitten looked like it was in bad condition.
I was very mad and disappointed that they would turn down kittens.

Beware, there will be some waiting!!
Lots of it!

However, the prices will shut you up or maybe quiet you a little. So, stop barkin’!
I have been there three times (as you may notice from my other reviews). There was again only one doctor to administer all the vaccines. I don’t know why that is.
Tip: don’t go during lunch any day, the doctor takes his break and you wait for his return.

The staff are pleasant and there were four windows open and staffed. Then you wait in a line in front of the doctor’s examine room.
My time was in and out in an hour and a half, not bad for thirty dollars!

3rd boosters for the twins for $30 each. What? You bet I will be back for their rabies & to chip them…

Thanks for reading.
