🦷 Dental Specialists of Doral Group 🦷

I am a new patient here and I can tell you that the service and dental consultation was beyond terrible.

1/ after verifying with my insurance company at Cigna. I realized that They overcharged me for $100. It would be fine with me if I received a satisfied service, not the contrary. My insurance covers completely for cleaning schedule (D110 code), but was charged $60 for my cleaning.

Fluoride vanish was also covered 100% by my insurance company ( code D1206) but was charged $30 at the end.

2/ the dentist was supposed to provide consultation but I received an inadequate amount of consultation. He never told me how my teeth is doing, any issues, and whether there was any cavity and such. He disappeared right after talking to the hygienist.

3/ I asked for the options of permanent retainer and what are advantages of each option. Instead of communicating directly to me, he told his assistant to come back with the money that I would need to have my two wisdom teeth removed (which he didn’t discuss with me before making that decision and took me by surprise given that communication is the basic practice for safe delivery of health care) and a quote for a clear retainer which didn’t come with discussion. For the dentist bizarre 5 minutes with me, they decided to charge me for $50 consultation which should be covered under code D9310 by insurance company.

The Dentist did not communicate clearly and appeared to act as if my time isn’t worth as his. Given my experience as a faculty and a health care professional , this attitude is not acceptable. Especially for a dentist to meet a new patient.

This whole experience was a nightmare and such a waste of my time. I will never recommend anyone to come to this dental office.

I had an emergency and they were able to fit me in the same day. Beatrice and Frank took great care of me, my wisdom tooth needed to be extracted and I didn’t feel a thing! The ladies in the front are professional and sweet, they all definitely made me feel comfortable. Absolutely recommend!

Wish I could give this office more than 5 stars because they are amazing. I am having wisdom teeth pain and thought I wouldn’t be seen anytime soon. Shout out to Ashley who helped me out last minute with professionalism and care. Definitely will be recommending this dental office to all my friends and family. Can’t wait to see the office in Doral tomorrow.

Dr. Frank Alarcon was wonderful on removing two of my wisdom teeth. He made me feel comfortable and when I say that I mean I didn’t feel a thing during the procedure. He was done pretty quickly and I was fully awake ( if anyone was wondering) just on heavy anesthesia. The wonderful lady Ashley at the front was very helpful, she got me in and out, and made sure I was in good hands. Thank you everyone there on 4/25/20 between 8:40am to 11am

Best office manager is danay gonzalez, the ladies in the front have great customer service and are very loving, the doctors as well. I highly recommend this denist office!
