Consulado General de El Salvador

Been trying to reach DUI center El Salvador and the embassy for two days in a row, they don’t answer and they hang up really quick.

Had a 10am appointment and the consul Salvador Perez was busy at that time giving instructions on hanging a picture on the wall wich took 45 minutes. He called me in at 10:51am

I just called on behalf of my dad to ask about obtaining a passport and whether or not he needed to make an appointment. He works all day so isn’t able to call himself. I speak very little Spanish, but try my best. When I called the woman he answered the phone was able to understand that I needed someone who could speak English, to which she said someone would be with me momentarily. After being on hold, someone picked up the phone and hung up. I called back, and this time a man (who spoke both English and Spanish) answered the phone, I told him what I needed and the situation regarding my dad, and he immediately got an attitude and told me my dad would have to call back and there was no one there who could speak English. That’s funny considering he spoke to me in English the whole time. He answered my question, but his customer service was nonexistent. I remained polite until the call was ended, but this encounter made me feel belittled. Hopefully others will have a better experience than me.

Excellent customer service. I got my passport renewed and it only took me 30 minutes. As I entered they greeted me with a smile and were prompt to assist me. They were all busy processing other documents and files but they got my information, took my picture and the new passport was on my hands within 30 minutes. The office is well located, plenty of parking spots and valet service is optional.

They treat u with respect & they explain clear & with details & in order, very organized.
