My mom, my wife and I have known Willie and Helen for years. We know lots of other realtors as well, but chose Lopez & Hurst to sell my mom’s house without speaking with any others. We strategized with L&H how to minimize sales time and hassle to my mom while, of course, maximizing sale price.

We chose to move my mom one weekend, hold a moving sale the next and put out a “For Sale” sign the 3rd weekend. This allowed L&H to show a clean, empty house anytime day and night so prospective buyers could feel the house is theirs. Also, the moving sale attracted a number of interested buyers and many others who knew prospective buyers.

Before the sign went up, L&H hired, at their cost, an inspector so there would be no surprises, allowing us to either fix or negotiate any issues. When the sign finally went up, there was lots of interest. And since L&H has other team members, they are always ready to show the house at the convenience of the prospective buyer.

Within a week we had three valid offers, including one for full price. One of the other two matched that price and we negotiated with them.

Using comparables, L&H initially established a sale price. I convinced them to nudge up the price, but they warned me that the house may not appraise that high. Despite Willie providing the appraiser with positive comparables and answering all of his questions, the house appraised for less than the sale price, so L&H deftly helped negotiate a fair compromise with the buyers.

L&H worked closely with the buyers realtor every step thru closing, and we closed at top dollar two months from when we first advertised. My mom appreciated the quick, hassle-free sale, and my wife and I were both very pleased. We recommend Willie and Helen to friends without hesitation.
