Overstock Flooring

Terrible company: the owners rep for a commercial project that we are working on found this company. We placed the first half of an order of tile through overstock to be delivered. After receiving the invoice from overstock flooring we cut them a check and send it in the mail. Turns out overstock forgot to include the shipping charge to the invoice and won’t deliver the material until their 140 dollar mistake is paid for. This tile is a critical path for the sequence of the Project and other trades cannot complete their work until it’s installed. This company wants me to email them a picture of my credit card along with my license. Incredibly shady business practice. I pay in person so we can get this project moving. We start installing the tiles and it turns out that the company sends us two different pallets of a material! Overstock flooring argues with me that I should use both because they’re similar. I didn’t pay for similar; I payed for exact. Not only that, overstock wouldn’t send a truck to swap them out that day so I had to send a driver an hour out of their way to perform the swap that they messed up. Needless to say I’ve canceled my second order and have told the property to avoid this company at all costs. Good thing too, they were planning to redo their entire front entrance through overstock. Bullet dodged!
