Pantai Granite | luxury natural stones & quartz slabs at the best prices

I have the same issue as Rick Fernandez. We got our countertop installed, and immediately after, we noticed the exact circles that Rick has; we contacted right away the countertop installer, and when he saw it, he said to us that he had Contacted Pantai and told them about the issue but got advised that they are not responsible for this type of problem. The installer said to us that Pantai immediately took the remaining slabs of quartz that they have left at their Doral warehouse and inspected them outside the facility, and none of them have any marks, so they were not going even to take it into account. The installer accused us of putting a can on the countertop, causing the stain circles, which is insulting and false. My advice to anyone buying from this supplier is getting a written warranty and guarantee since it is a significant investment, or go to other retailers and see the guarantee they offer. As you see, Rick is not the only case, and I am pretty sure that there are many out there.

I have discovered Pantai Granite about two years ago and it has been my go to place for granite and quartz. They always have a great inventory with excellent quality choices and elegant design. Everyone at the store is courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. However, I must mention that Alex has been truly amazing over the years in helping me choose the best stone for my home renovation. His insight is always on point and his follow up always consistent. He has shown genuine interest in understanding his customers need for their projects. Truly an asset to the the “Pantai Granite” family. Thank you Alex!

BUYER BEWARE (Update): The owner responded here but I was never contacted about my “incident”. Yes, Pantai has positive reviews, but that’s not relevant or an adequate response (and check review on Houzz from 2017 for similar complaint about slab quality). The “unforseen incident” was that 1 of the 2 slabs i purchased stains very easily. Pantai sent a stone professional over who said the same thing. Then when we went to Pantai it turned into “…you must have done something to the slab”. Even as the credit was being issued, Pantai acted like they were doing me a favor. Based on reviews I have no doubt that most of their slabs are both beautiful and high quality, but if you are unlucky and have a problem with your slab, do not expect to be covered. There are simply better options out there. Additionally, I plan to follow up by contacting the Florida Consumer Protection Division and/or taking legal action. ***BUYER BEWARE. Great selection of beautiful quartz and marble countertops BUT Pantai does NOT GUARANTEE or stand behind their product. We purchased 2 Pure White Quartz slabs and had them installed in our kitchen makeover. The countertops (and kitchen) looked beautiful after installation. However, the quartz countertop where our island was located stained immediately when an espresso cup of coffee spilled. We cleaned within seconds but noticed a ring where the cup was. This shocked us because we have quartz (LG Viatera from Home Depot) installed in our other home and have never experienced this even when coffee went unnoticed for days under the coffeemaker. We called Pantai and after sending pics and video they sent a representative to our house. He tested the countertop and agreed that something was wrong. He offered to seal the quartz (something typically done with natural stone but not quartz) and we agreed. He did a 3′ x 3′ area and tested it, but it still was not stain resistant. He explained that this was unusual but happens with some pieces of quartz. We understood and went to Pantai expecting them to take care of us. Well 2 visits and lots of arguing led to us being blamed for doing “something” to the quartz that damaged it, despite my assurances that neither we or any worker did such a thing. I even challenged them to tell me what could damage quartz so that I could test on my LG Viatera Quartz, but they could not give me an answer. Instead they kept on repeating that “customers” do crazy things and that it was not their fault. They agreed to give a refund for 1 of the 2 slabs,a refund that was not accompanied by an apology or acknowledgement that slab was defective. I told them i was unhappy because it was not about money but about principle and my having a quartz countertop that stains easily (plus $900 does not cover the $3000 for slabs and installation). If you choose to go to Pantai, good luck and do ask them about their guarantee.
