For months I’ve been sending paperworks and documents through the Portal & via Email with received confirmation, and for months they have been telling me that they can’t find such documents. I’m really starting to think that these people are purposely not doing their job, and are inadequate at doing what they get paid to do…. 5 months and my landlord has not gotten paid, I’m on the brink of eviction because of these people’s negligence… something has to be done about this place

I have never encounter more inefficient personnel in my life. Is there anyone checking the staff is trained at this location??? How come we submit a file – and it doesn’t get processed correctly. I submitted all the documents requested in person and by email (getting confirmation it’s received) just to receive notification from the staff that it’s not found. Is anyone taking the files home? Is someone checking the emails? I don’t understand. It’s been 4 months and I didn’t get paid for a rental unit. My tenant is on the eve of evictions because these people don’t care about their job and how it affect others. I’ve asked proof of payment for 4 weeks now and still waiting. I’ve opened tickets with finance department, which can take up to 48 hours, just to open a new one because no one answers within that time. Why set a timeframe then? No one complies with any of their own guidelines. I’m extremely disappointed.

I have been coming to this sec8 dept for years and must say it was always somewhat hectic. But this is a new level of hectic. Very disappointing and disorganized. The lady by the door just as you enter to the left that and takes paperwork is the slowest human to work. She helped 3 people in 1 hour with a 10 min break in between. There are so many other departments like this in dade. Do yourself a favor and try never to go there in fact I would switch my voucher to another location.
Most people are also rude at this location. Not all of them but a few are very nasty. I witnessed the way they speak down to people. Not nice.

Possibly the worst customer service out of any private or government entity I’ve ever dealt with. If you accidentally call into their offices more than 1 minute after they open, be prepared to wait 30+ minutes (and often double that) on the line before getting a response. Then be prepared for the customer service reps to be able to do nothing to help you. Want to speak to a supervisor? They’ll schedule a call-back, because their antiquated systems can’t transfer calls. That’s right – they’re can’t transfer calls to supervisors. They’ll tell you you’ll receive a call later that same day, but expect to wait several days for a call back, only for your issue not to be resolved. Want customer service by email? Good luck – often times they don’t respond at all, and when they do it’s several days later.

How Nan McKay & Associates has held onto their contact with the county for as long as they have is a mystery. Their employees, their systems, their processes – all of it is a disaster from beginning to end that makes it incredibly frustrating for owners (and participants as well, I imagine) to deal with.

For anyone in a position of power at Miami Dade County reading this – sever ties with Nan McKay as soon as possible.

This particular Section 8 building is located in a nice area plenty of parking the staff is great I had to take care of some business down there today and they were more than willing to help me out they’re very knowledgeable friendly orientated staff very quick with responses over the phone or in person In & Out Door Service bathrooms are clean you also have water fountains nice upgrades made to the building as well is not crowded anymore now so the six they have can accommodate a crowd that they receive overall a pleasant experience
