I took the Dominican Cake Baking class today at Cake Art and enjoyed the class very much. The teacher was great and the staff was very polite and attentive. The cake was delicious and I loved every piece of it. Malvina is an excellent teacher, and her cakes are delicious. Furthermore, I would like to say that a couple of years ago, I took the Premium class and gave a negative review that I should not have because of things that I did not put into practice immediately after the end of the course or that I did not learn during the class. There were some things that could have been done differently but for the most part you do learn quite a bit in this class. The only downfall is that if you don’t practice what you learn you forget it – which is what happened to me.
However, the owner Ana and her staff have always been there to assist me with any issues or concerns that I had and hope that maybe I could take a refresher class of some of the things I forgot. They always go over and above to ensure their clients and customers are fully satisfied. For this reason, I retract my negative review and give this store a 5 star and will continue to come back and take classes as long as they are willing to have me. I have enrolled for the Nicaraguan Cake class next week, and cannot wait to learn some more cake baking techniques from them.
