i still trying to contact this useless consulate ,i have sent an email in regards to update of schedules, costumer attention, COVID-19 updated attention, calling is useless no one answers and the automated machine hung with out any assistance options. Their doors don’t have any signs of notification in regards to attention at anytime soon ,it just looks like everyone run away and provably still receiving their monthly salary. i feel helpless and desapointed.

Great experience! I did the paperwork online on the Consulate website, I made sure I had all the things listed that were needed: printed the online paperwork, letter of invitation/or hotel reservation, flight reservation/ itinerary, bank statement/proof that I wasn’t penniless, money order for $160, yellow fever paperwork, Passport size photo, my valid passport and then, I flew from Tampa to Miami and arrived at the Bolivian Consulate; The lady that greeted me was warm and friendly, although she did not speak English. (Or perhaps she was just trying to help me with my Spanish?) she received all my paperwork, asked me what date I was planning to go to Bolivia, then pointed to the calendar telling me to come back in a couple of weeks. I told her I live in the Tampa area and flew down special to get this done. So she told me to have a seat. I waited quite a while, watching other people come and go. Not understanding Spanish, I heard one couple leave very disgruntled screaming something about Bolivia that certainly wasn’t good.
Then, they called my name and presented me with my visa! Wonderful! Very happy!

The WORST – I dare anyone reading to dial during this consulates working hours. The woman that answers is Arrogant, Ruse and very USELESS – You can hear how she answers and then hangs up. I hope they fire her – I am not Bolivian but with her in that phone it makes other people question as to why they should go to this Consulate on the first place – I will take a Risk and go to Bolivia without doing any paper work because even though I already submitted all my info – It sounds like its not worth going to this office.

This has to Be the absolute worst consulate I have ever worked with in my life. After sending in our passport with the money and everything required, after 3 months we still did not receive it back. Every single day we called the consulate, no one would pick up. We probably called over 100 times at different times of the day and not one person ever picked up the phone. We finally sent someone over to the consulate since we live halfway across the country. The consulate said our passport had already been mailed back. We then waited another month and nothing. And now today we get a phone call saying that the passport is still in their possession, but we did not send the return envelope. There should be legal charges against stuff like this. We had already reported our passport lost and have started the new process of expediting a passport in order to travel in one month. This has cost hundreds of dollars and unnecessary time and energy. This consulate should be ashamed of them selves. If I could actually talk to someone I would tell them that, but they never answer their phone for me to express our Dissatisfaction. Do not ever use this consul it. Send to the one in Houston.

I have read all the negative reviews on the place. If they don’t answer the phone its because theyre short staffed. But the representatives have been very informative and helpful with all the processes we needed to get done. We came to directly to the consulate to avoid any delays and we had no issues.

I give it a 4 star only because they’re short staffed but they try their best to help everyone as soon as possible.
