Don’t use Enterprise! I had a reservation for a truck with a lift gate scheduled for tomorrow, 1/31, and just a few minutes ago I got a call from a “manager” named Alberto Cardenas from this location telling me that they were out of trucks. How is that possible? Isn’t that the very reason to make a reservation in the first place? How incompetent is he and by extension Enterprise that this would happen? I will never this company again. If I could I would give them ZERO stars.

The key dropoff is a nice thing to have at this location but renter beware; your spare tire will be stolen from the vehicle and you will be charged for it. After talking with the staff at the location, the police, and the claims department, stolen tires happens regularly at this location.

We learned this the hard way and the staff at this location did not mention a “leave at your own risk during non-business hours” policy at the time of rental.

Thankfully, the vehicle wasn’t stolen or we would have been liable for that cost.

Hopefully, this review will save you the extra $400 charge for the replacement tire.

I own a local logistics company and have rented from this location on numerous occasions when we needed extra trucks. I generally had a good experience with this location until the last rental.

Unfortunately, this last time I had several issues which left me with a horrible overall experience. My total bill was about $13K this last time so I definitely feel I should be a valued customer, however the manager, Gotham, at the location told me it’s not about the money… Ironically I don’t know why any business would be in business if it wasn’t for “the money”.

The problem began when for some unknown reason Chase Bank would flag their merchant account as a fraudulent charge so they could not charge my credit card. Instead of contacting me first they would run my card repeatedly until the bank would freeze my credit card.

Generally, the following day I would then receive a phone call or text message demanding that I bring them a payment in the form of a cashiers check. This would happen every other week or so which I would then have to drop everything that I’m doing and make a special trip to my bank get them a cashiers check and then drive it to their location.

Being a business owner at times I couldn’t always make it in their timeline, which then would result in numerous harassing phone calls and text messages. Oh and God forbid I didn’t respond back to their messages within a few minutes… then I would receive even more threats.

Next issue was that they tried to overcharge me nearly double for mileage and $50.00 a week more than I agreed to. I know this might not sound like much however over 12 weeks that’s $600.00 They closed out 2 contracts without my knowledge and then said I agreed to their pricing which wasn’t correct. I pointed out the pricing mistake on the first day and was assured that it would be corrected, but when it came down to it, they didn’t correct the mistake.

I was then told by Gotham the manager at this location he was helping me out and doing me a favor by giving me the pricing I originally agreed to…. Gee whiz by golly thank you for doing me that favor! I mean who blames the customer for their mistake and then tells them that they’re doing them a favor when they correct the mistake they created.

The final straw was when the manager told me that he did NOT want my business and demanded that I close out my bill when I came in to make yet another payment because their merchant account couldn’t charge my credit card.

Mind you, this time I had made another special trip with a loaded truck and had left my employees at a job site in order to bring them their money. When I explained this to the manager and told him that I wasn’t done with the truck he again reiterated to me it wasn’t about the money and basically told me that I was just too much of a headache for Enterprise to deal with despite this headache was brought on by their own credit card processing company in the first place.

I asked him again are you sure this is how you want to do this and he said he would do me the favor of letting me get my stuff out of the truck later on in the evening. I told him that I didn’t come in to close out the contract I came in to make a payment as we had discussed earlier, however he insisted that we terminate the rental that very moment despite the incredible inconvenience this would cause me.

At this point, I decided it’s better to find a company that values me as a customer then continue with this nonsense. I paid them the remaining balance and had to call Uber for a ride back to my office so I could pick up another truck. Then drive back to their rental office (18 miles each way which in Miami takes roughly 45 minutes) and unload the things from the truck that was there.

I gave them 2 Star’s because as I said in the past I had a positive experience and they didn’t charge me for the 19 gallons of fuel for the inconvenience. Although I would have gladly paid $60.00 in fuel to not deal with all the inconveniences. Because in my opinion business is foremost about money and time.
