Okeechobee Metrorail Station

Pretty spacious metrorail station. Lots of parking, could use a bit of cleaning and painting over the full colors however. On a side note, the electric escalators here malfunction when the stairs have too many people on them at once.

Whenever there is an important meeting that will affect our way of life, we travel Down Town on the Metro Rail and exit at the Government Center Station, finding a place where to obtain Rail Passes, Cafeterias, vendor shops and the Chambers to the Miami Dade Commissioners.
Lately, when we arrive at the Okeechobee Station, we find no attendant, a machine that does not provide an ability to pay with credit cards as it does not read ours and one Saturday, the trains were not operational.

Metro trains will mess your schedule up. Tri rail is much more reliable for time. Also the security guards at the Metro Rail can be very rude and impolite. Alot of homeless people around but they don’t bother anyone.
